ASCA steps it up with two new initiatives

Blog by Michael Whereat, ASCA President

Following the great success of our Conference in Adelaide, we can now announce the following initiatives:
  1. ASCA is recruiting its first CEO
  2. ASCA is partnering with Public Sector Network to deliver the Smart Cities roadshow: Building the cities of tomorrow
CEO recruitment
We're looking for the right person to take our young organisation forward and realise the potential of our smart community ecosystem with one overarching objective – to create a network of smart communities across Australia which are recognised internationally as world class. Do you have what we're looking for?:
  • Actively represent ASCA across the national policy environment
  • Facilitate or represent ASCA at 20+ industry conferences and events
  • Lead and drive ASCA's adopted program each year
  • Drive business and industry activities and ASCA Working Groups
  • Grow memberships and partnerships across the ASCA ecosystem
  • Lead ASCA's communications profile through web, enews and associated activities
We have posted the position on Seek www.seek.com.au/job/33927414 and applications close 15 August. Email enquiries to admin@australiansmartcommunities.org.au.

Membership discount to Smart Cities Series
As part of our partnership with the Public Sector Network (PSN), ASCA members will receive a 25 percent discount to the Smart Cities Series being held in Sydney (29 August), Canberra (30 August), Melbourne (31 August), Adelaide (5 September), Brisbane (6 September) and Perth (7 September).
This partnership continues ASCA's commitment to deliver value to our members and promote digital transformation across our communities. Read more about the Smart Cities Series and how to access the member discount.

As the smart cities momentum continues to grow, ASCA is ready to help support this growth across Australia.
