ASCA structure
We have restructured the association to create a strong membership and partnership system which will support our next phase of growth. Through this new model ASCA will become the primary integrated organisation for smart cities in Australia for supply and demand sides.

ASCA membership information and policies
- We are able to provide flexible payment options including *credit dard or direct debit facilities.
- ASCA Memberships are for a 12 month period, beginning the month payment is processed, eg May 2016-May 2017.
- ASCA is a not for profit, volunteer organisation with relatively low volumes of transactions so in order to keep our membership costs as low as possible we are using ANZ FastPay facility
- Once payment is processed, you will receive an invoice from ASCA to the email address you have included on the membership form.

- Participate in our monthly online seminars.
- Free access to past seminars through our website member portal.
- Join the ASCA Board – nominations are open at our annual AGM.
- Share your smart city projects and media releases with us.
- Take advantage of member rates at our annual Australian Smart Communities Conference.
- Submit a smart city case study for our annual Guide to creating smart communities in Australia – the 2016 guide has been our most downloaded item from our website.
Business and industry partners
- Become a member of ASCA’s Business and Industry Board.
- Participate in ASCA’s working groups, looking at a wide range of areas from standards and solutions to advocacy and funding, to membership and seminar/conference content.
ASCA Industry Board
The Industry Board aims to establish strong collaboration between local governments, private industry and the R&D community, as well as advise ASCA and all levels of government on a range of issues, such as providing advice and collaboration with councils, data providers, regulators and the Federal Government’s Smart Cities Plan. Working Groups have been established to address key enablers and inhibitors for the development of smart cities.
