— GOVERNANCE
ASCA’s 2030 Strategy sets a bold course for Australia’s smart communities sector – aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and built through member consultation.
🔭 VISION
“Digitally empowered, inclusive and climate-positive communities where technology improves quality of life, strengthens local economies and regenerates natural systems – ensuring no one is left behind.”
“Equip ASCA’s member councils and partners with the tools, skills and alliances they need to deliver smart, sustainable and socially just outcomes between 2026 and 2030.”
— ABOUT THE STRATEGY
Communities right across Australia are deploying digital technology, analysing data, and delivering smarter services to meet new and emerging community needs. Every community has a unique identity and capability set that will enable them to leverage, where applicable, the opportunities provided by the digital revolution.
The Australian Smart Communities Association has a member-based mandate to boldly drive government towards fast-tracking the adoption and delivery of projects that define smart cities and smart communities. By working with all levels of government, industry partners, smart tech experts and researchers, we share learnings, enhance collaboration and coordinate responses to the challenges and opportunities across our communities.
ASCA’s 2030 Strategy was shaped through a comprehensive member consultation process – drawing on member engagement sessions, working group input and board direction to define a strategic framework that reflects the real needs of the sector.
