SoNewy - Urban IoT Hack for Newcastle

Newcastle, 25 - 27 October 2018

Smart city programs aim to improve livability, sustainability, and economic diversity through efficient management of assets and resources. Newcastle as an emerging smart city is the perfect testing ground for innovative urban IoT solutions that improve the lives and well-being of citizens. The Urban IoT Hack is a unique opportunity for local creative minds to address urban challenges (Vibrant City, LuminoCity, Circular City & Open Challenge within a #SoNewy theme) and engage in rapid prototyping of Newcastle IoT integrated solutions. We're seeking innovative minds of all skills and expertise levels with background in IT, Design, Business, Sociology, Engineering and Environmental Science to create competitive teams of 3-5 members to rapidly build IoT solutions, with attractive prizes on offer.

ASCA members will get exposure to a diverse range of participants and emergent IoT concepts that explore Smart City themes in our #SoNewy challenges. The event presents a great hands-on opportunity to contribute to the growing IoT practitioner community and experience fast paced prototyping for a city pilot, in an excellent professional development and experiential learning opportunity.

Register today for the Urban IoT Hack.
