Share your Smarts! - Call out for Webinar & Study Tour hosts

Building on the positive feedback from 2022, ASCA will be coordinating a series of regular webinar presentations and study tours which are designed to share knowledge, expertise and experience with fellow Smart City professionals.

To that end we are seeking expressions of interest from any ASCA member who would like to develop and deliver one of these web-based sessions or host a study tour.

Leaning on your personal experience you can choose any topic you like, and any relevant subject will be considered.

Webinars

Some suggested themes to get you thinking are how your Smart Communities initiatives interact with things such as:

  • Tourism

  • Procurement in Local Government

  • Weather & Environment

  • Dashboards and Data

  • Promoting Economic Growth

  • Sustainability

A simple way you can frame the webinar topic is:

  • What was the problem you were trying to solve?

  • How did you go about it? (Including what tech and data solutions were used)

  • What was the outcome?

  • What were the lessons learnt / If you could go back and do it again, what would you do differently?

Webinars will be hosted by ASCA with a board member to MC, so as a presenter you just need to prepare your presentation and log in on the day.

Study Tours

Study Tours are a great way to showcase your smart communities work to a group of peers and get feedback and ideas that will help you improve. Combine the study tour with a networking event, or even leverage the opportunity of having an audience to launch a strategy or project.

We would love you to get involved this year so if you feel you have something to share with your fellow ASCA members just email jason.dean@australiansmartcommunities.org.au and we will be in touch.
